The Moment Everything Changed

My parents told me no.

I was a senior in High School, applied for early acceptance into SCAD, and got accepted! I was over the moon, running laps in my house, and my parents told me no. Mom said it was too far. Dad said it was too expensive.

At that moment I was taught what it means to manifest. I was taught how to not take No for an answer. What was clear to me was if I was going to go to SCAD it would be my responsibility to make it happen. What I know now is this lesson activated something in me that was waiting to be awakened. What you accomplish is what you relentlessly decide to accomplish.

I want you to stop hoping for a thing and instead decide.

Unapologetically decide on that dream in your heart and see where that self trust takes you.
